Interactive poetry
We sense a strange presence and grasp it through indirect means, amidst noise, restlessness, disorder, and irrationality
Interstitial space represents the digital and interactive element of the work showcased in the summer of 2017 at ODD Space in Bucharest, as part of the “In Private” project.
Interstitial space is an online interactive work, a poem that emerges by selecting links related to key words in the text. The poem encompasses two dimensions: one textual and poetic, the other visual and poetic, akin to a video poem. The humorous space represents the intangible realm between the tangible components of a setting, embodying an unseen web of forces, pressures, and influences that subtly coexist in close proximity. As individuals, we sense this presence but grasp it through indirect means, amidst noise, restlessness, disorder, and irrationality. Poetry serves as a potential tool to discern these intricate webs in which we are inevitably entangled. Each element within the network undergoes a metamorphosis, influencing the configuration of objects and the network itself. This work traces such delicate transformations and engages the intuition of those who engage with it.
The work also includes this essay about the “interstitial privacy” and this set of photos, part of ODD Vol. 1 Privately publication.
The work is incorporated into the ethotectur.es website through the integration of additional JS scripts: Ramus and bLazy. Goblinrefuge.com is also utilized.
Project by Nita Mocanu and Marius Stoica.
